The Facilitator Course is a two-day training for participants who have already completed the Level 1 Play Box workshop. This session was part of on-going training for TREE facilitators as they get ready to train their new ECD graduates.
Care for Education held a Level 1 Six Bricks training on the 25th January. Participants from various organisations joined the workshop to discover the magic of what you can do with just six DUPLO bricks.
Bryandale Primary School is one of five schools involved in this Six Bricks project. On the 19th January, twenty teachers from Grade R through to Grade 3 attended an initial training course. The hands-on training session focused on learning through play.
Hope Worldwide is a CFE partner working in Diepsloot and Zandspruit townships. These home visitors took part in a Level 1 Play Box training and will be visiting homes to work with parents and children.
Laerskool Kempton Park is a full service school working with mainstream learners and those with disabilities. The teachers participated in this training to incorporate the bricks into their teaching and after school clubs.
Humansvlakte Primary School is part of the Optentia research project called "Developing Advanced Performers for the 21st century". The teachers took part in a 3 hour training course and are now eager to introduce the bricks to the learners in the school.
