Rainbows and Smiles recently brightened up one of the oncology wards here in Gauteng, bringing both colour and joy in the form of activity packs containing DUPLO Six Bricks sets. During their visit they conducted Six Bricks activities with children, parents, nurses, and doctors in the ward. With the current circumstances it is amazing to see such an initiative attending to children in these conditions. All of the items in the activity packs were extensively sanitized in order to protect their patients and the Rainbows and Smiles team adhered to strict frontline medical guidelines with regards to personal protective equipment (PPE) as recommended by The World Health Organization. Guidelines are aimed at both protecting our volunteers and our patients against COVID-19.
