Last week, Care for Education visited some Early Childhood Development Centres (ECD Centres) and schools around Cosmo City and Soweto.
Children were actively engaged in learning through play as they explored with LEGO® DUPLO and Six Bricks. There was plenty of delight and excitement as children immersed themselves in both free play and structured activities. They playfully constructed towers, explored mathematical concepts and patterns, recited poetry, and passionately told stories as far as their imaginations stretched.
Care for Education kindled learning through play by providing the ECD Centres and schools with resources and training. With the Foundation Phase Initiative (FPI), Care for Education will extend learning through play further across South Africa by using Six Bricks as a tool.
