CFE travelled to East London to facilitate 3 days of training with enthusiastic provincial subject advisors and selected teachers. The training prepared each official to train all the teachers, from Amothole West district, on a play-based methodology and the use of Six Bricks as a tool for teaching and learning.
The training was held at the ICC Premier hotel and generated excitement, emphasizing knowledge sharing and building on Learning through Play. The Foundation Phase Initiative (FPI) will be rolled out to all Gr R – 3 teachers in Amothole West during the July school holidays (12 – 22 July 2021).
